Nine men's fades with carved hair-pattern designs
A jar of paint brushes — hair design begins with art

How we think about teaching

In the 1950s, Vidal Sassoon pioneered cutting hair according to each person's bone structure, combined with geometric shapes. Precise cutting technique brings out the layers and movement of the hair; disciplined shapes and exact lines create a style that belongs to one person only.

Our approach to hair education is to take that inherited experience, reorganise it and add new elements drawn from everyday life — aesthetics, a sense of space and the beauty of line — and to see hair design from different points of view. We respond to current culture, the best of each era and each person's individuality, looking for beauty that is both distinctive and well-founded.

Our instructors teach technique through three-dimensional geometry and the aesthetics of overall form, and can tailor a personal course to your needs.
